Track Record



		This project was funded by AWO/SAMBIKA, Community Development for Rural Women project is one of the most ambitious projects of SKMT. The main objectives of the project are:

			To help the women to raise their living standard along with their families at the grassroots level. To facilitate them to organize themselves into groups and develop their own participatory organization for their economic empowerment. To promote micro-credit activities for saving and lending practices. To encourage them to develop their leadership quality.

		More than twelve hundred families from five villages development committees from Sunsari district have been benefited from this project. Similarly, four cooperatives and two hundred forty women groups have been formed for the purpose of learning, capital formation, building of democratic structures and leadership growth. Over 65% of members have health insurance as well.
