Integrated Community Development Project

Integrated Community Development Project is running by Sushma Koirala memorial Trust funded by Heifer International Nepal since January 2008 with aims of social transformation through community participation. Women are the direct project participants through whom the entire family of  targeted community benefits.

The location of the project is Shreepur Jabdi VDC, ward no. 1,6 ,5, and ward no. 4,5 and 7 of Haripur VDC of Sunsari District 

The project supports 100 original families with 100 lactating buffalo. Additional 100 families will be supported by passing on the gifts. Altogether 200 families will benefit from this project. The project participants of original and first pass on groups will receive various training such as Cornerstones, Self Help Group (SHG) Management, Animal Management, Gender and Justice, Kitchen Gardening, Reproductive Health and STD/HIV/AIDS. Male partners of the original and first pass on group members will also receive trainings on Cornerstones, and Gender and Justice. Selected group representatives from the original and pass on groups will be taken on exposure visit.
