  • To withdraw children working in match, biscuit, confectionery and soap industries in Biratnagar.
  • To create awareness among parents, factory owners, local community, leaders, employers and workers    organization for the rights of child, gender inequality and its adverse effect of child labour.
  • To prepare pre-school children for formal education through informal education.
  • To impart vocational training to school dropped children.
  • To seek cooperation of parents to sustain efforts in sending children to school through financial  support from     income generation programs

  • 57 illiterate child laborers received informal education in preparation for admissions to formal schools.
  • Children who are not child laborer but were unable to go school due to financial problem were provided seed money as revolving fund to continue efforts in sending children to school through economic support from income generating programs.
  • 60 children received vocational training in 5 different trades such as house wiring, radio and television repairing.
  • Programs conducted to increase awareness to groups of parents of child laborer who started sending their children to school with an aim of increasing  income.
